Application for license required by this chapter shall be made in writing to the city clerk-treasurer setting out the nature of the business to be licensed and the number of days during which the business shall be conducted in the city and signed by the applicant, or responsible officer, if a corporation, and accompanied by cash or certified or cashier’s check paying in full said license fee in advance at the rate provided in this chapter.
