“Person” wherever used in this chapter shall, when necessary, be held and construed to mean and include natural persons of either sex, associations, copartnerships and corporations, whether acting by themselves or by a servant, agent or employee; the singular noun when necessary, shall be held and construed to include the plural and the masculine pronoun to include the feminine.
