A. The police department may immediately confiscate any potentially dangerous wild animal if the animal is kept in contravention of this chapter. The possessor is liable for the costs of placement and care for the potentially dangerous wild animal from the time of confiscation until the time the animal has been relocated to an approved faculty, such as an institution accredited by the AZA.

B. If the potentially dangerous wild animal cannot be taken up or recaptured safely by the police department or if proper and safe housing cannot be found, the police department may immediately euthanize the animal. (Ord. 2955 Att. A, 2015)
