1. Institutions accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA) or under mentorship through the AZA;

2. Duly incorporated non-profit animal protection organizations housing a potentially dangerous wild animal at the written request of the police department;

3. Animal control or law enforcement agencies or officers acting under the authority of this chapter;

4. Licensed veterinary hospitals or clinics;

5. Any lawfully operated circus or rodeo.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to potentially dangerous wild animals as defined in this chapter when such animals are safely and continuously contained during uninterrupted transport through the city or to a veterinary clinic within the city. (Ord. 2955 Att. A, 2015)
