It is the duty of any person who takes a stray animal, as defined in this title, into his or her possession to notify the city animal control officer at once, and to release such animal to said officer upon demand and without charge. The intent of this section shall be satisfied by providing a telephonic or electronic message when notification occurs after business hours. (Ord. 2955 Att. A, 2015)
