A. “Auto stage” means any motor vehicle used for the purpose of carrying passengers together with incidental baggage and freight, or either, on a regular schedule of time and rates; provided, that no motor vehicle shall be considered to be an auto stage where substantially the entire route traveled by such vehicle is within the corporate limits of the city, or the corporate limits of any adjoining cities or towns.

B. “For-hire vehicle” means any vehicle, including taxis, other than an auto stage used for the transportation of persons for compensation.

C. “Non-motorized for-hire vehicle” means any non-motorized vehicle which has a passenger carrying capacity, to carry for hire persons through the City of Anacortes, including horse drawn vehicles and pedalcycles.

D. “Horse drawn vehicle” means any vehicle drawn by horses which has a passenger carrying capacity, to carry for hire persons through the City of Anacortes.

E. “Pedalcycle” means a non-motorized vehicle propelled by pedaling which has a passenger carrying capacity, to carry for hire persons through the City of Anacortes. (Ord. 2860 § 1, 2011)
