The Director may, with the advice and consent of the City Attorney, enter into negotiations with parties in an enforcement action or named in a lawsuit under this Title or their legal representatives, for the purposes of negotiating a settlement to such action or lawsuit. The settlement may include a compromise regarding the collection of civil penalties but must consider the interests of the public and be in the best interests of the City. (Ord. 2988 § 1 (Att.
