2.40.010 Definitions.

The definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
“Appointment” includes all means of selecting, appointing, or employing any person to hold the office of civil service commissioner.
“Commission” means the civil service commission.
“Commissioner” means any one of the three commissioners appointed to the commission.
“Alternate commissioner” means any alternate commissioner appointed to the commission.
“Elector” means a registered voter.
“Resident” means a person whose primary dwelling place is located in the city. (Ord. 2876 § 1, 2012)
