The building code of the city shall be administered and enforced by the building official of the city. The building official of the city or his designee shall be deemed to be the authority charged with enforcement as defined in Section 104 of the International Building Code, Section 104 of the International Mechanical Code, Section 104 of the International Fuel Gas Code and Section 104 of the International Wildland-Urban Interface Code. The building official or his designee shall also be deemed the “authority having jurisdiction,” as such term is defined in Section 103 of the Uniform Plumbing Code, for the purpose of enforcing and administering the provisions of the Uniform Plumbing Code.
