This chapter and the emergency ALS/BLS ambulance service fees hereunder shall be construed and implemented in a manner consistent with applicable Medicare and Medicaid requirements. If any part of this chapter is found to conflict with Medicare and Medicaid requirements, the conflicting part of this chapter shall be inoperative to the extent of the conflict and such finding or determination shall not affect the operation of the remainder of this chapter.
