For the purpose of this chapter the words set out in this section, and associated documents, such as the unified fee schedule, shall have the following meanings:

A. “Residential” shall mean a single-family residence (SFR) which shall mean a single residential building unit that is served by a single water meter, including zero-lot-line SFR. Residential shall also include irrigation meters associated with a SFR, which includes homeowners associations that support single-family residences.

B. “Multifamily” shall mean multifamily buildings that are supported by a single water meter. This includes duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, apartment buildings, condo buildings, and includes irrigation meters that support these multifamily buildings.

C. “Commercial” shall mean all other meters that do not fall under one of the other two meter categories of residential or multifamily. This includes all meters other than irrigation meters associated with homeowners associations, includes all parks, and includes all other meters not specifically defined in this chapter.

The Finance Director is authorized to make judgements about which rate class a meter qualifies for. (Ord. 3013 § 1, 2017)
