It is unlawful for any person to break, deface or damage any water meter, gate, pipe or other water works appliance or fixture or in any other manner interfere with the proper operation of any part of the water system of the city, and any person found violating any of these provisions unless otherwise provided for in this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to penalties described in AMC 1.24.010 A.
