The structure shall be addressed according to the placement of the primary entrance or front door as long as there is substantial access to the entrance from the same street. The location of the intersection of the driveway and the fronting street will determine the address when the primary entrance or front door does not access directly to the street. In the event that a structure is facing the inside of a block or toward the alley, the structure shall be addressed at the discretion of the city address coordinator.

There may be more than one address assigned to a legal parcel of land. Additional addresses may also be assigned to peripheral buildings located on a single, legal parcel of land when one or more of the following characteristics exist:

A. If the additional building or buildings are habitable or tenantable for residential, commercial, or business purposes;

B. If the following conditions exist:

1. There is power and/or telephone service to the building (either a separate service or an extension of the service provided at the main building), and

2. The building is located one hundred feet or more from the main building, or

3. The building is not visible or accessible by emergency services from the main building. (Ord. 2721 Att. A § 1, 2005)
