10.24.030 Operation—Limited to designated truck routes.
Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, the operation of the following vehicles shall only occur upon or within (1) the designated truck routes established pursuant to this chapter; and (2) the state highway system within which such operation is unrestricted:
Any moving van, dump truck, tank truck, used or designed for the purpose of transporting petroleum products or any vehicle designed or used for the transportation of commodities or materials, which vehicle:
A. Extends more than eight feet to the rear of the driving compartment of the vehicle;
B. Whose load extends more than eight feet to the rear of the driving compartment thereof;
C. That exceeds eight feet in width, twenty-six feet in length;
D. Exceeds twenty thousand pounds (ten tons) gross weight, including load; or
E. That is restricted by cargo or contents due to the transportation of radioactive material or hazardous cargo. (Ord. 2906 § 2, 2013)
